Lauren Sutherland (she/her)
Board of Directors – President
Lauren is a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist based in Victoria, British Columbia with over a decade of diverse clinical experience in pelvic health, orthopedics, and elder care. Known for her commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, she has honed her expertise through continuous learning and hands-on practice. As a seasoned entrepreneur and business owner, Lauren has demonstrated leadership by establishing and managing successful ventures in the healthcare industry. She is the Founder & Owner of Core Connection Mobile
Physiotherapy and Canadian Ecommerce retailer Pelvic Health Supplies. With a keen focus on innovation and patient-centric solutions, she strives to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those she serves while driving positive change within the field of physical therapy.
Lauren holds an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia and a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. She is an avid health and fitness enthusiast and comes from a competitive sports background. She grew up playing a wide variety of sports and competed as a lightweight rower on the varsity women’s rowing team at UBC.

Tessah Clark (she/her)
Board of Directors – Vice-President
Tessah has over a decade of experience in the communication, change management and non-profit sectors executing complex projects that include multi-faceted stakeholder consultations, tactical communication rollouts, and leading teams. She currently works for the Government of BC as a Director of Communications and Engagement within the ministry of Citizen’s Services.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Intercultural and International Communication from Royal Roads University and a Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Anthropology and a Minor in Applied Ethics from the University of Victoria.
She is passionate about health equity and strongly believes everyone deserves access to quality healthcare. In her downtime she enjoys running, weight lifting, hiking with her dog, Molly, and reading.

Hannah Scuzs (she/her)
Board of Directors – Treasurer
Hannah specializes in providing fractional controllership services to non-profits and currently works at Humanity Financial Management Inc. With a decade-long background in industry, she brings a wealth of experience to her current role.
Hannah is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a holder of an Economics and Business degree from the University of Victoria. Her proficiency in financial reporting for privately held companies is complemented by a genuine passion for the intricacies of financial accounting.
Driven by a sincere desire to make a positive impact, Hannah dedicates herself to assisting not-for-profits and charities in comprehending their financial health. Her aim is to equip these organizations with the insights they need to succeed in their missions.
Outside the professional realm , she actively pursues a balanced lifestyle through activities like hiking and spin classes during her downtime.

Elder Pineda (he/him)
Board of Directors – Member at Large
Elder served in the Regular Force of the Canadian Armed Forces for over 12 years, completing two deployments to war-torn Afghanistan. His military background provides him with a unique perspective on supporting underserved communities.
With expertise in telecommunications and information security, he successfully transitioned into the digital marketing space, where he spent over a decade refining his skills in SEO, and pay-per-click management. He later shifted his focus to classical project management by helping organizations implement tools and strategies to enhance their change management efforts with confidence.
He holds a Master’s degree in Professional Communication from Royal Roads University, along with a graduate diploma in Project Management and Organizational Leadership, graduate certificates in Project Management, and Management & Leadership.
Passionate about innovation, sustainability, and languages. He brings a systems-thinking approach to his volunteer work. When he’s not growing with non-profits, he’s a proud father to his children and dogs, he enjoys soccer, wood working, hunting, and traveling.
